Curatorial note
People will tell you they're still with you. That nothing really leaves. It's kind. It's also not how it works. What's left behind isn't them. It's the pattern they made while passing through. And the surface they crossed, which is now a different colour. The trail isn't the traveller. But the trail is real. You got proof. Not presence. And a surface you can't return to its original shade.
